We pride ourselves on supplying you with great quality products that are fit for purpose and our aim is always to offer you great value as well as giving you an award-winning service.
It has come to our attention that a number of the Colouring Pens we supply have not been compliant with the required safety standard we would expect. The required standard is BS7272-1:2008. This standard governs the specifications for Safety Caps for Writing and Marking Instruments which dictates the amount of airflow that passes through the cap.
We can confirm that there have been no reported issues as a result of this non-compliance. However, as a precautionary measure, we are issuing a product recall.
Please find below the item codes and descriptions of the Colouring Pens sold by The Consortium and West Mercia Supplies since 7th September 2015, which do not comply with the required safety standard.
